MRI for Mayo AppealIn the past, Mayo General hospital has benefitted greatly from people's generosity, purchasing equipment including a CT scanner five years ago.MRI for Mayo is the term to describe an umbrella organisation set up to raise funds for the single objective of providing an MRI scanner at Mayo General Hospital on a permanent basis. This campaign is led by three main fundraising groups: Bright Eyes Campaign Cancer Action Mhaigh Eo The Ultimate Challenge. This appeal was launched in June 2005 and hope to conclude when the one million target is reached at approximately 18- 24 months. The committee will meet quarterly and will publish monies collected here.
